resistant & visionary

This portrait series is dedicated to women who have changed society — and continue to do so. Some of them are barely mentioned in history books, while others shape the present with powerful voices. What unites them all is their resistance, vision, and courage to drive change.

Drawn with marker on watercolor paper, the portraits feature figures like Clara Zetkin and Elisabeth Selbert, who fought for equality and political participation, as well as Emilia Roig, who brings intersectional feminism into contemporary discourse. Scientists such as Rosalind Franklin — whose contribution to DNA research was overlooked for decades — also find their place here.

Exhibition at the Young State Theatre Karlsruhe

Part of the portrait series “resistant & visionary” is currently on display at the Insel Theatre of the Young State Theatre Karlsruhe, as part of the production “Mädchenschrift”.

The exhibition features portraits of feminist women* from history and the present – from Clara Zetkin to the members* of the ensemble. The series continues to grow – now expanding into the space of the theatre as well.

Unbroken

This series is dedicated to the language of the body — more precisely: the hands. They express what words cannot contain. Resistance. Exhaustion. Rage. Hope.

In black-and-white lines, dense cross-hatching, and carved-out light, these drawings speak of the inner strength to resist — against inequality, against violence, against powerlessness. At the same time, they carry a quiet vulnerability: the open hand might repel — or ask for help. The fist might strike — or protect the heart.

“Unbroken” is a visual expression of female emotion beyond conventional representation. No ideal. No pose. Just raw gesture, captured in ink.

Climate Day
Grötzingen

At the Climate Day in Grötzingen, I presented a selection of my works that explore climate protection, the vulnerability of our planet, and our handling of natural resources.

With my images, I aim to inspire reflection – on what we stand to lose if we don’t take action. On our responsibility, on hope, and on the need for change.

They speak of a world that is precious – and of the urgent need to preserve it.

On display were, among other works:

  • A Mod Podge piece on the theme NO PLANET B

  • Photographs and collages that highlight both the beauty of the Earth and the threats it faces
